For your portrait session, you can expect your session to be very casual and relaxed!

All my work is done on location {in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex} using natural light. Think about the look you want for your photographs, as well as where you and your child(ren) will feel comfortable and relaxed. Sessions can be at a nearby park, an urban spot with vibrant colors and funky walls, or at your home.

If you do wish to have a session at your home, it is important that there is a good amount of natural light streaming in through the windows. Please allow for 1-2 hours for the average session. This will allow for plenty of time for snacks, breaks, and wardrobe changes.

When photographing children, it is important to me that everyone is having FUN. I strive for my sessions to be fun for children. Laughing, playing, singing, etc. are encouraged and allow me to capture moments in which their unique personality shines. When children feel pressured to sit still and smile on cue, they will often end up doing the opposite Just tell your kids that I am coming to play! “Cheese” is one thing you will never hear me say!

There may be times that I ask that you step away for a moment. Children sometimes relax more when Mom or Dad isn’t standing right there watching them “perform”.

As a natural light photographer, generally light is best in the morning or early evenings.. However, when dealing with children, it is best to schedule for whatever time of day they are usually happiest in. It is important to aim for an hour or two in which they are happy, well rested and fed!

About two weeks after your portrait session is the Session Premier. In the comfort of your own home, your family’s memories will unfold as a custom slideshow set to a backdrop of hand selected music. That night, you will recieve special premier pricing.

Policies:

Sessions usually last 1-2  hours, and do not include your images, either digital or printed. All print, products, and digital negatives are purchased separately.

Your session fee is due at time of booking and secures your session date. The session fee is non refundable however transferable should the need arise.
