Newborns are photographed best within the first two weeks, ideally when they are between 7-10 days old. It is at this age that they are still likely to curl up in those adorable poses and are more willing to sleep for us.Please call a few months in advance to discuss the scheduling of your session – this allows for greater flexibility when scheduling. I will tentatively schedule your session about 1 week after your due date and once your baby arrives, we will adjust the date accordingly.Newborn sessions typically last 2-4 hours with plenty of time for breaks and feedings. Simple is best when it comes to newborns, as they photograph so well in their “birthday suits”.I will bring a great collection of blankets, baskets and swaddling blankets to create their “outfit”. Feel free to suggest any other items that you may have at home to add to the uniqueness of your session. Please do not stress that your baby will :
a.) not sleep
b.) cry
c.) need to feed
d.) “relieve” themselves on some of my blankets during the session
Most likely ……….ALL OF THE ABOVE will happen ![]()
These are just small obstacles to obtaining great newborn images.
(And everything is completely washable!)
About two weeks after your portrait session is the Session Premier. In the comfort of your own home, your families memories will unfold as a custom slideshow set to a backdrop of hand selected music. That night, you will recieve special premier pricing.
