Moving on to Baby Baugh: Part 2! (See Part 1 HERE)
Mere days after photographing this little guy’s birth, we all trucked out to their family land where we did Mom’s Maternity pictures a few weeks before! I had actually never done a newborn session outside before, but I was so excited to try it! It definitely has its challenges compared to shooting indoors, but it was so fun to do something a little different. And I am always a sucker for nostalgia – so doing the newborn pictures on their family land, which already holds a huge chunk of meaning to his parents, was a MUST.
Oh and check out his newborn announcement – I took the image for them but can’t take credit for the idea or the actual announcement. That was all mama! I just thought it was so creative! LOVED IT!
I know I say this a lot, but seriously – LOVE this family. I have so much fun with them. Hopefully they can say the same for me…..hehe.
I am so glad they are doing a baby plan for Mr. Henry, so I get to see them all the time
Although this was technically Henry’s 6 month session, we made sure to get lots of great family shots, as well as some of big sister, Charlotte We did their newborn session in their beautiful home, so this time we shook things up and bit and headed outdoors!
The sun was setting and the weather was beautiful so we had a great time, even though we had to deal with what seemed to be a PLAGUE of grass burrs, or “stickers” as I referred to them, which greatly confused Charlotte.
Stickers are good. Grass Burrs are NOT.
Can’t wait for our next session with this awesome family!
I am super excited! One of my new favorite vendors, Woodsnap, just notified me that they are going to gift one of my clients a free 11×14 Woodsnap Wooden Photo Canvas!
I personally love the Woodsnap prints for a variety of reasons. First of all, they are different and new – and I love that! The grain of the wood canvas shows through your images, and really draws your eye. Talk about a conversation piece. People always comment on mine at home
These wood canvases print your image directly onto the substrate, with out harmful chemicals – and the best part… every time you purchase a Woodsnap print, they plant a tree! How cool is that?
Win, Win, if you ask me!
So here is how this is going to work – I have created an album on the Kendall Stoy Photography Facebook page, titled, WOODSNAP CONTEST IMAGES.
Go, take a look around and vote for the image you think should win a free Woodsnap Wooden Canvas!
The only requirement is that the winner HAS to send me a photo of themselves holding their print once they receive it! Tough, I know
So head on over and start voting, send your friends, send your family, share it on your own Facebook page! Voting ends Thursday, 10-11-12 @ Midnight!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing some product images for the awesome company, Diapees & Wipees! If you are a mommy and are not already familiar with Diapees & Wipees bags, head on over and ‘get you some’ ASAP! I have D&W bags filled with diapers and wipes in my car, in the diaper bag, in my purse, in my husbands car….. I just love how organized they keep me!
Anyways, they just came out with some new gorgeous diaper bags that needed to be photographed for their website! We were mostly photographing their new “daddy friendly” back pack, and guess who’s babies got to be the models???? I will give you a hint…they both have red hair and are irresistibly adorable
This first image of Miss Molly even made the new bag tag! This is one proud mommy
These images of Mister Mason were a little more difficult to get, as you will see……. If you are a fellow photographer, hopefully you feel my pain of trying to take a picture of your own toddler. He is SO over looking at my camera – see?

And here is their other new bag that I am in LOVE with! Speaking from experience – it has JUST the right amount of pockets, is big enough to hold a lot, but not too big, and the opening is large, but not so large that everything falls out. And, I mean…how cute is it!?!?!?
And lastly, the inventor of Diapees & Wipees, my good friend Christie Rein. GORGEOUS both inside and out! Love her!
Just a reminder that we are still booking Holiday Mini Sessions! Email or Call for details and to book your session! I only do a limited number of sessions each year, so they go quick! kendall@kendallstoyphotography.com 972.824.8476
When Olivia’s mom contacted me to schedule a newborn session, I had no idea what a special baby I was going to get to photograph. You see, this was no ordinary newborn session and Olivia is no ordinary newborn! First off, Olivia is actually 5 months old, but her adjusted age is only about 1 month.
Olivia is actually one of 4 sisters – quadruplets! Sadly though, while Olivia is here in her loving mother and father’s arms, her sisters are already up in heaven, no doubt in the arms of the Lord.
Once I learned the story behind Olivia, and her family – I was completely honored to have been chosen to capture this time for their family!
Olivia is such a fighter! And there is no doubt in my mind that the Lord has big plans, for this little girl.

When I began searching for a family to photograph as part of my Lifestyle portfolio (you can view the post where I explain more about that HERE), I was ecstatic when LaShawn contacted me about being my guinea pig. I had photographed this family about a year ago, and had so much fun with them and their beautiful kids – I just knew that their family would be perfect for this type of session.
I came over one evening right as daddy came home from work, and we just jumped into it! The best part about these sessions, in my opinion, is that there are no rules!
Kids want to play outside? Okay – here we go!
Wait, lets go inside and play dress up!
That was fun, now lets go back outside and blow bubbles!
That is the whole point – you live your life and I capture the beauty of your every day. And I would like to think we did just that.
I thought it might be helpful to some of you who are on the fence about this kind of session, if LaShawn did I little “survey” about her family’s experience!
This session was bittersweet for me. Of course, I LOVE shooting Ella, I mean, can we say “china doll”???? But the sad part was her and her mama and daddy were moving far away a few days later!
You know when you really click with someone? And you just KNOW you are going to be great friends???
Well that was me and Ella’s mom, but our timing was off
SO we will have to continue our friendship via Instagram and Facebook for now!
As you can see, it isn’t hard to get great pics of this girl! We even got some fun shots of her and Grandma, and of course some “Mommy & Me” pictures too!
Miss you guys already!!!!
I love photographing ALL families. And MANY times, my clients end up becoming friends of mine. But there is something very special about photographing someone who is already a close friend. This family has become so super special to me and my family. I am so glad they asked me to capture these precious moments for their family! xoxo
